             What has happened to problems such as immigration, securing the southern border, ensuring social security for the future, continuing the tax cuts and a host of other problems, including the Iraq war.

             Let’s see now the Democrats have been in  total control of Congress for the last three months.   What have they done about these problems?

             Well they did raise the minimum wage which meant nothing to Oregon because our minimum wage is already higher than that proposed.

So...what else has come out of this tremendous Democratic victory of last year.

Mostly we have seen  the Democrats trying to find a way to end the conflict in Iraq.  Some are calling for an immediate withdrawal...others for a target date of six months….others  sometime in 2008...and on and on.

They seem obsessed with the idea that their election was due mainly to their stand on the Iraq war.   

Now….we find them on one witch hunt or another against the Bush administration.    Let’s take the case of Libby who has been convicted of lying to the grand jury over who revealed the name of Wilson’s wife who worked in the CIA.   Now...that’s a great problem.    Actually it turns out that the special prosecutor was informed when he first started checking that it was another person who turned in the name of Valerie Flame.  Never mind….he had to justify the five million expense by finding someone in the Administration at fault.

Now….we have one investigation after another.   Currently it’s the case of the Attorney General Gonzales.  Never mind that the Clinton administration fired all….yes...all of the U.S. Attorneys when they took over.  Where was the uproar then.   Gonzales has fired five….yes five, and the congress has gone wild.  Oh...true the President had the right to fire them...but he did it only for political purposes.

And….every time the administration uses the Patriot Act to ensure the the safety of the nation…...oh….out comes that investigation by the Democrats.

             Now….they’re after not only Gonzales...but Karl Rove as well.

             When  does it stop…..and the imperative needs of the nation come firsts rather than politics.

             Whatever happened to the immigration problem?  Remember all the marching crowds in the streets not so long ago.   

             Remember the move to finance a fence along the Mexican border.  Instead we get two border guards thrown in jail for years because they shot a known drug dealer in the buttocks as he fled from them.  No matter that he had over 200 pounds of drugs in his vehicle.   They even went so far as to find him in Mexico and bring him back to testify against the border guards.

While having immunity to testify he toted another huge load of drugs across the border.   Where was the outcry for justice then.  Instead they tried to blast the administration in the case.

Come on,  Democrats…...put the needs of the nation first and leave politics for much later.
